A day in the life of Eleanor Maloney-Ward, Sales Administrator

A day in the life of Eleanor Maloney-Ward

‘Bright and energetic’ is how colleagues describe Eleanor and they are right.  Eleanor has taken on the role of Sales Administrator at Rainford Solutions whilst also doing an apprenticeship within the company. She balances both roles seamlessly, providing critical support to the sales team and dealing directly with customers day-to-day to ensure that Rainford’s outstanding levels of customer satisfaction are always maintained.

Eleanor starts each day in a production team meeting to get an update on the progress of solutions being developed and delivered.  She works with different departments to ensure that every customer order is fulfilled on time and to specification.  Managing and overseeing the logistics of each order is a key part of her role and includes ensuring the correct size of vehicle is booked for transporting each product to its final, on-site destination.

Since joining the company, Eleanor has built superb working relationships with key customers and is the first point of call for any order related enquiry. From first contact and ongoing communications to logistics and invoicing, Eleanor’s role contributes in multiple ways to our high standards of service and customer satisfaction. One of the highlights of her time at Rainford Solutions has been receiving a personal note of thanks and appreciation from a long-term, key account customer, for her help.

Outside of work Eleanor is a self-confessed shopaholic and loves a bit of retail therapy to relax.

As part of her apprenticeship, Eleanor is working on an important project to analyse and improve a critical business process within the company. When asked about the best piece of advice she’s received, Eleanor said: “Our solutions are highly technical, and I used to be intimidated about having to talk to customers in detail about them. But one of my colleagues told me to look at every obstacle as an opportunity to prove myself. It’s true and something I now try to live by!”
