With continued investment into major projects for the UK rail infrastructure including High Speed 2, Control Period 6 and Crossrail 2, buyers are looking for greater confidence and insight into the supply base they are engaging with to deliver quality goods and services to support the development of Britain’s railway network.
Rainford Solutions is pleased to announce that they have been awarded recertification as a verified supplier for The Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS), after another successful year maintaining their status as a competent supplier.
“To achieve this continued success demonstrates the quality, commitment and attention to detail we apply to our business. All our customers will benefit knowing we are a verified RISQS supplier, helping them to reduce supply chain risk and streamline procurement processes.” – Jerome Fox, Head of Sales & Marketing.
Following an assessment carried out by Achilles, the appointed supply chain management provider for RISQS, Rainford is now a verified supplier for a range of products including trackside cabinets, Vanguard® outdoor enclosures and telecommunication cabinets, which are all searchable by buyers on the RISQS portal.
Duncan Crawford, Finance Director at Rainford Solutions, added: “RISQS is the single-entry point for suppliers to the rail industry; it’s an open and fair way for Rainford to be formally recognised by our customers as capable providers of rail products and services.”
Achieving RISQS recertification provides reassurance that Rainfords’ rail capability has been fully aligned to comply with Rail Industries standards, providing assurance for buyers including Network Rail and TfL that they can do business with confidence with Rainford Solutions.
GB rail’s supplier assurance scheme RISQS is run by the industry, for the industry, under the stewardship of RSSB.
RSSB’s Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme features a smarter, quicker, easier platform and enhanced audit services, providing the industry with supplier assurance fit for the future.
